Everyone I know that tried playin' yesterday and so far today have had major issues with gettin' in the servers. One moment it might work the next it won't. But there are always problems on launch day. Watch for a patch in the very near future. No worries though folks DICE will have a fix up for this very soon. Little more information from a friend's blog over at mmomfg.com

If you’re one of the thousands of people who tried to log on yesterday and blow stuff up in DICE’s newest installment in the Battlefield series only to be met with frustration, take solace in the fact that you’re not alone.
Not to discount the single player portion of the game, Bad Company 2 (and all of the Battlefield games) are known for their multiplayer. It just so happens that everyone else who bought the game last night realizes this and tried to log on and play. Unfortunately, they were met with countless issues. In no specific order of severity, Dustin and I had the servers crash on us mid-game, had the EA servers (stat and login servers) spontaneously disappear, and have had to wait a good two to three minutes for servers to populate. I’ve also run into a nice little bug that automatically kicks you from any game you try to join.
People (as per usual) are up in arms and have posted wildly on the forums as seen here and here.
I can’t speak as to the severity of these issues on the 360 or PS3, but if you have anything to add, please do.
As a developer, I love DICE, they’ve brought me some of the best gaming experiences in the last 10 years or so. But almost like clockwork, their games don’t exactly perform the best under launch conditions. I have faith though, that in the next 24-72 hours most of the server issues will be remedied and expect news of a patch sometime next week.

Alright maybe got this figured. Installed it to the modded r4 server. Been waitin' for my work to get me the product all night and opted to come home and get this issue figured out while I was waitin' gonna be a long night I guess...
Anywho I do have to go now but unfortunately don't have time to get in and check out if I got it figured this issue out or if it is still kickin' everyone. Can someone please go in there and tell me if it is working now? Please go in and stay in for at least 5 minutes so to find if it is running stable.
Thx to whoever can go in and check that out and post back here or over in 242's forums so we know if it is workin' properly...
Hasta Luego

Default Kick on Connect
Here are a few steps to try to connect to servers:
Uninstall the BC2 BETA
Look in MY Documents for BC2 BETA directory. If it exists delete it.
Look where BC2 BETA was installed, if the BC2 BETA directory remains, delete it.
Try running the game again.
For all the players connecting to servers and being kicked straight away (and pbsetup.exe or manual updating didn't help) then you will be happy to know we are sending out R4 servers to our hosting providers which will hopefully solve this issue.
This is going out to the hosts shortly and then allowing time for them to update you should see connections going back to normal in the next few hours and continuing to spread to all servers during this evening.

Gabe what you put in this post above mine that Sharky forwarded you to is only working for some people. It might help for certain servers however there are still issues with tons server (including ours unfortunately) from GAMESERVERS.COM. I am pretty frustrated with GAMESERVERS.COM at this moment
I have put a lot of time into trying to get these issues figured. Read a lot of forums and talked back and forth with "GAMESERVERS.COM" in and outside the trouble ticket system. Please note we are on top of the issue of people not either able to get into the server or people who get into our server to then get kicked out. I am pretty pissed about this and have been pushing for a fix. Please note I have not been able to game with some of you who have asked me to join them due to trying to get our server up.
Below you will find a indefinite final answer from GAMESERVERS.COM when I was going back and forth with them over this issue. I will be pushing for credit. Again I apologize as I am not able to get it up with a permanent fix without the new patch. I will update MII first chance I get. All we are waiting for is DICE to fix this issue, please note they are diligently working toward that and hope to have it released this week. So please enjoy the servers out there you can get into until it's all squared away and don't spend time like me getting frustrated trying to figure out what is wrong when it turns out it was always their side to begin with.
Again Sorry MII,

Dear Customer,
Ticket IAZ-17166 has been updated by Brian Rak [staff].
We are awaiting a patch from the developers regarding this issue. I'm afraid we have absolutely no control over fixing this.

I had alot of problems with the PB issue, (Having Windows 7 OS), I found that if you run the PB check service feature, (on the BFBC@ disc), let that do its thing for a little (it will make sure the services,A&B are present), then right click my computer, click on manage, then click on services, find the PB A , right click on it, and under properties, there is a log on tab, make sure that the "Allow service to interact with desktop" is checked, also, start PB B, if it is not already started, seemed to help.

Is everyone able to get in the server over here? There are still some of us who can't get in the server. But right now we have a full server in there. But it has been pretty full so far today. Hopin' this crap is fixed now. LOL so irritated wit' it.

Sorry Hollow... Can't believe they just can't get this figured out...
So being I had sent a few messages on the trouble ticket for our Battlefield: BC2 server to no avail 2-3 days waiting to then wait again for another 4 days with no reply. I sent a new trouble ticket to their billing dept. Someone from their then sent me this message back. Now it says EA Server Ban? wth? So EA has a ban in place for gameservers.com then? LOL I think they are blaming each other for the issue. Funny thing is there are a lot of people who can play and tons who can't. So frustrating this is...This is almost starting to sound like a joke. I mean at this point I am looking for another provider. I have never seen gameservers.com this jacked up.

Dear Customer,
Ticket FTJ-25460 has been updated by Billy Joyner [staff].
Apologies for the delay regarding your issue. We are currently awaiting the update via EA still. Once the EA server ban and server issues are fixed everything should be running better on your server. Once your issue is resolved reopen this ticket for credit to be applied to your subscription for the days your server was unusable.

seems like no one can make a descent game anymore lol mw2 was one of the biggest games ever, they made over 1billion off of the game/accecories even though its kinda stupid them charging $60 for the game then another $15 for a map pack yet they arent really willing to do anything against the cheaters/glitchers. they pretty much ruined that game because they havent done anything about the cheaters and stuff + no dedi servers. bc2 may not be as big as mw2 but ill admit it is fun but it sucks when u cant really play with the people you know in your own server. i know!! GoldenEye for the n64!! i miss that game

Alright Mii please let me know what you think here? Do you think I should just get credit back and take our business to another server host? gameservers.com is taking entirely too long getting this fix in place. To be honest I am shocked in this whole thing. Up until this crap I have always had a pretty good experience with them. But I don't think we should wait much longer. My patience has somewhat ran thin. So let me know if you guys think we should move that Battlefield server to another company... Thx folks...

Still Can't believe the "Server" side of their support has still not responded with anything since the 8th. I even say "Hello GameServers, are you there? lol... and that was on the 14th and here we are on the 19th. My patience is pretty worn out. So again just let me know what you folks would like to do as I am ready to pack up and move on from this provider.
Alright now here is the other side of the argument that could be made...and this is what makes it hard for us to possibly move on...
Since the 11th of March we are getting some great hits to that server. But there are tons of people who just can not get in our server and stay in as it kicks them out. INCLUDING ALMOST ALL OF US! So if we take our business elsewhere... we lose any ground we have made with the population and popularity of people hittin our server up...
These graphs represents the last week and since the server went active, overall of how full our server is on average for those days indicated. Like right now there are 30 people in our 32 slot server. Would be full but I have 2 slots private on that server. Uggh yet hardly any of our players can ever get in.
This graph represents our server population since the day it was turned on to current 2day. I mean things are looking better and yet what good is it if all those people can play and we can't? LOL...
